According to the speaker, why is the boot more famous than the dress shoe? Explain the meaning behind this statement in the poem.
Answer:
In the first lines of the poem the speaker begins by creating several unusual and engaging phrases that state that things are “famous”. The first explains that the “river is famous to the fish”. This might take some analysis to figure out, but, it makes sense to consider the importance of the river in the life of a fish. It’s what they live in and very likely thinks about all the time. It’s the most important thing in their world.
The second “famous” line is different but not so much so that it isn’t related. This time, the speaker says that the “loud voice” is famous for the silence that it interrupts. After the first comparison, this one is easier. Without a “loud voice” the silence wouldn’t seem noteworthy. It needs to be interrupted to be noticed.
Nye uses personification and allusion in the next lines. She alludes to a line from the Bible, “the meek will inherit the earth” in order to cast “silence” in the same light. She is effectively saying that “silence” is meek, a human character trait given to something that’s not human. The silence knew, somehow, that it would inherit the earth long before it was written in the Bible.

Compare the characters of Hedda Gabler and Daisy Miller: A Study. Both are the inventions of realist writers, but which character seems to offer a higher degree of morally ambiguity? Explain your answer with at least 150 words.
Answer:
Hedda Gabler has a greater degree of moral ambiguity.
Explanation:
Hedda Gabler and Daisy Miller are characters from different works. Hedda Gabler is a character in the play "Hedda Gabler" written by Henrik Ibsen. Hedda is a married woman, wealthy, intelligent and ambitious. In addition, she is extremely manipulative and manages to act sneaky and unpredictable so that everyone acts the way she wants. Hedda presents several moments of dishonesty, where she is conscious and proud to deceive people. In short, Hedda acts solely for his own benefit, showing a high ambiguity.
Daisy Miller is the protagonist of the book "Daisy Miller" written by Henry James. Daisy is an American girl from the interior of New York. She was raised in a wealthy family and has a great dream of entering European high society. Daisy is ambitious and somewhat futile, but she is a naive girl who lives because of her own dreams. Although Daisy also presents controversial moments, she is not as ambiguous in nature as Hedda, since many of her actions are based on naivete and the few experiences of youth.

A linking verb is used to link the subject to its complement. The purpose of the subject complement is to describe or attribute characteristics to the subject. In that sense, unlike other verbs, the linking verb does not describe an action being performed. It simply connects the subject to its description. -fragrant crusty bread
-tall handsome hero
-wild crazy cat
Please write whether each of the following statements is coordinate or cumulative.
Answer: Coordinate - damp dreary day, wild crazy cat
Cumulative - coiled hissing snake, tall handsome hero, fragrant crusty bread
Explanation: Answers confirmed correct on my test and I promise they are correct.
"Coiled hissing snake," "damp dreary day," and "fragrant crusty bread" are examples of cumulative adjectives, while "tall handsome hero" and "wild crazy cat" are examples of coordinate adjectives.
What are cumulative adjectives and coordinate adjectives?Cumulative adjectives are a series of adjectives that are used together to modify the same noun and are not separated by a comma. The order of cumulative adjectives is usually fixed and cannot be changed without affecting the meaning of the sentence.
For example, "a big black dog" and "a fluffy white cat" are both examples of cumulative adjectives. In both cases, two or more adjectives are used to modify the noun (dog and cat), and they are used together without a comma.
On the other hand, coordinate adjectives are two or more adjectives that are used together to modify the same noun but are separated by a comma. Coordinate adjectives can be rearranged in order without changing the meaning of the sentence.
For example, "the large, fluffy dog" and "the fluffy, large dog" are both examples of coordinate adjectives. In both cases, two adjectives are used to modify the noun (dog), and they are separated by a comma. The order of the adjectives can be switched without affecting the meaning of the sentence.
Therefore, coiled hissing snake: cumulative adjectives, damp dreary day: cumulative adjectives, fragrant crusty bread: cumulative adjectives, tall handsome hero: coordinate adjectives, and wild crazy cat: coordinate adjectives.

Amid the many horrors of the Vietnam War, I found one of
the worst to be the waiting - those quiet times of inactivity
when anticipation of the next attack weighed on me like a
pile of bricks. I might be lying in the mud along a creek bed
somewhere, completely oblivious to the cold, the wet
earth, or the smell of gunpowder still fresh in my noshils. It
was those times of waiting that showed me I had nothing
else in my mind
no past, no future, no ideas. Just a raw
awareness of the moment.

Answer: B. Lying on the king-size bed, Anakin can spread his legs and arms all the way out.
Explanation:
A king-size bed is large enough to accommodate two people and give them a lot of space so if only one person is on it, it would give them more space than they need which is evidenced by the assertion that Anakin could spread his legs and arms all the way out.
By definition therefore, the king-size bed is spacious much like the classrooms described in the question.

What is comparative advantage?Comparative advantage is the ability of a country, individual or business to produce a particular good or service at a lower opportunity cost than others, giving them a competitive edge in the market.
It would make sense for Country A to specialize in growing corn while Country B specializes in making cars. This is because each country would be able to focus on its comparative advantage, which is the ability to produce a good or service more efficiently or at a lower opportunity cost than another country. Country A, being an agricultural country, would have a comparative advantage in growing corn, while Country B, with its cities and factories, would have a comparative advantage in making cars. By specializing in these areas, both countries could increase their overall productivity and efficiency, leading to greater economic growth and prosperity for both nations.
