Select the correct text in the passage. Which detail in the text best reflects the central idea of the passage? Dictatorships by Hal Marcovitz (excerpt from “The Rise of Julius Caesar”) Sulla was a brutal and relentless dictator. But one enemy who escaped his wrath was Gaius Julius Caesar. Caesar was born in 100 BCE to a wealthy family. As a nephew of Sulla’s opponent Marius, Caesar found himself on Sulla’s list of enemies. No doubt he too would have been killed, but his family intervened, and Sulla reluctantly spared his life. Next, Sulla ordered Caesar to divorce his wife. Caesar refused and fled the city. He joined a Roman army campaigning in Turkey and did not return until after Sulla’s death in 78 BCE. After returning to Rome, Caesar involved himself in the political intrigues of the republic and began his rise to power. His chief adversary was Sulla’s son-in-law, the powerful general Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus, known familiarly as Pompey. Instead of directly challenging Pompey, Caesar decided to bide his time. He struck an alliance with Pompey, who convinced the Senate to place Caesar in command of a Roman army. Under Caesar, the Romans conquered areas of modern France and Britain, as well as other parts of Europe. It was a campaign that would make Caesar an enormously heroic figure among the Roman people. As Caesar made his way back to Rome, the Senate ordered him to disband his army. Caesar refused. Instead, on January 10 in 49 BCE, Caesar led his army in an attack on Rome. As his army crossed the Rubicon River to reenter Italy, Caesar is said to have remarked, “Let the dice fly high!” Caesar’s ploy was not much of a gamble. His army easily swept aside his enemies, including his one-time ally, Pompey. Caesar marched into the city and declared himself dictator. After another four years of warfare in which he pursued his enemies across Europe and Africa, Caesar returned to Rome. He found the once-defiant senate now willing to bow down to his authoritarian power. The Roman senators elected Caesar dictator for

Create a personal narrative describing how an animal taught you a life lesson.
Answer:
Animals have taught us:
Compassion.
Patience.
We're All Connected.
Humans Aren't as Different as We Thought.
Respect Your Elders.
Responsibility.
Listen Carefully.
Animals have taught us so many things with life and as we can see animals aren't as different as us humans; They've taught us responsibility (some proof on that fact is such as taking care of your young and gathering food for the pack/family/tribe) Listening carefully is also a good one something all animals need to have to survive, they use this technique for hunting, looking out for predators, etc. It is used in everyday life. Patience is something all animals need to help them throughout the day its not all easy to catch a fish with your mouth you know!

Explanation:
can someone write me a short story about why you shouldn't bully people <3
Answer:
I can try a little. Hope it helps.
Explanation:
Most of the time, people like to bully or oppress others usually younger, smaller or considerably 'weaker' than they are for many reasons.
Most popularly, the first reason could be that the bully is jealous or envious of something the person they're bullying has or is because they either want that for themselves or they can't stand to see someone have something they feel that they deserve or wish they had.
One more reason, probably more important than the first, is PEER PRESSURE. The need to feel among or to fit in with a group of people one's age or with one's similar interests. A very simple example could be as someone who is interested in joining or befriending a particular group of people they assume to be 'cool' or 'admirable', would lead them to be easily persuaded to fulfill almost any wish of said group in order to gain acknowledgement or approval from them. This is most common among the teens and young adults, even kids. This is known as the need to feel among.
Onto the main point of this question, it isn't right, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, to bully or oppress people for many reasons, here are a few.
Bullying can deeply traumatize a person, doing nothing but damage to their self esteem and confidence. Someone who is bullied will eventually begin to see themselves as 'less than' or 'unworthy' of being seen by others. This can change their ways of thinking or even lead them to hate a particular kind of people, mostly the kind who have oppressed them. Or to become bullies themselves so as to appear powerful in their own right.
One other thing reason you shouldn't bully or allow bullying is because even as the bully themselves, would come to regret their choices in the future when they grow older, and more importantly, wiser. They would find themselves reflecting on their past choices and regretting them, hoping their actions didn't, in the end, cause more damage than they'd imagined.
I'm short, both the 'Bully' and the 'Bullied' stand to only lose when caught up in such acts, thank you....
I hope this helps!
what are the dark nights in the time machine
Answer:
They speak of imminent "Dark Nights," and he realizes that the moon is waning. He imagines that his theory about the division of labour being carried to the extreme was right, that at one point the ancestors of the Morlocks must have been driven underground to work for the ancestors of the Eloi, but that now the balance of power has shifted. In their restful ease, the Eloi have grown weak, while the Morlocks have grown strong. He imagines that both are the descendents of man, and that the instinct against cannibalism must have gone out of style. He also imagines that his journey into the underworld must have horribly upset the Morlocks. Nervous, the traveller hastens to find a safe place to spend the night.

Dark rich skin, generously sprayed with freckles, a thin scar lacing across one of them, my hands.
