Answer:
1. The field of biology concerned with the relationships between species and their physical environments.
2. Abiotic components are non-living chemical and physical factors in the environment that influence ecosystems in ecology and biology. The term "biotic" refers to a living part of an ecosystem, such as plants and animals.
3. Since photosynthesis is the primary source of oxygen in the atmosphere, it is vital to living organisms. Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants and trees produce food from sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water in the atmosphere: it is their primary source of energy.
4. Decomposers break down dead plants and animals and return nutrients to the soil. Carnivores get their nutrition by eating other species. Herbivores obtain their energy from the plants they consume. Plant and animal forms of nutrition are used by omnivores.
5. Energy is required for all living organisms to develop and reproduce, sustain their structures, and react to their surroundings. Metabolism is a series of life-sustaining chemical processes that enable organisms to convert chemical energy stored in molecules into energy for cellular processes.
6. Organisms compete for resources such as air, water, food, and space in order to live. In areas where these are sufficient, organisms coexist peacefully, and in areas where resources are plentiful, the ecosystem boasts a diverse range of species (diversity).
7. The word "niche" is used in ecology to describe the role that an organism plays in a group. The physical and environmental conditions that a species needs (such as temperature or terrain) as well as the relationships it has with other species make up a species' niche (like predation or competition).
8. Prey animals are species that serve as food for predatory animals. Many predators could end up as food for larger predators. The top predator is a predator species that does not prey on other animals.

Mixing chemicals in a cold pack creates a reaction that:
absorbs heat
destroys heat
releases cold
none of the above
Answer:
Absorbs heat!! Im sorry if it isn’t correct but yeah
Explanation:
How should a line look like if an object is at rest(stopped) on a distance-time graph?
10 is all i have
If an object is at rest, then its distance doesn't change as time goes on.
On the graph, the points for each time are all at the same distance. They form a horizontal line.

Question 1: A) Which state(s) of matter have a fixed shape? B)A fixed volume?
Question 2: A) Rank the states of matter from most kinetic energy of the particles to least B) Rank from most particle spacing to least
Which of the following will most likely be a sustainable environment?
A. An environment with a small variety of plants and animal species
B. An environment with a large variety of plant and animal species
C. An environment with many plant species but with only a few animal species
D. An environment with many animal species but with only a few plant species
Answer:
I think A
Explanation:
Biodiversity affects the sustainability of an ecosystem by —
A. always increasing competition for limited resources within the ecosystem.
B. allowing the ecosystem to survive many changes.
C. preventing the ecosystem from surviving many changes.
D. always decreasing competition for limited resources within the ecosystem.
Answer:
A.
Explanation:
A great variety of Gene's and species means that the ecosystem is better able to carry out natural processes in the face of external stress. Thus, the ecosystem is more sustainable
The graph below plots the temperature and luminosity of stars on the main sequence. (2 points)
Four locations (A, B, C and D) are graphed on a curve representing luminosity vs temperature. The curve begins are high luminosity and high temperature decreasing in luminosity and temperature as it approaches the right side of the curve. From left to right are points representing Location A, Location B, Location C and Location D.
At what location is the star with the least initial mass most likely to be found?
Location A
Location B
Location C
Location D
Answer:
location A
Explanation:
When sodium and chlorine are mixed:
nothing happens
heat and light are released
heat is absorbed from the environment
The correct answer is B: heat and light are released.
The three basic economic questions societies face are (1) what goods and services to produce, (2) how to produce those goods and services, and (3) who will get them.
In one or two paragraphs, explain how supply and demand help societies determine their answers to these three questions. Be sure to provide an example of the effect of supply and demand on a society's answers.
please help
When supply is high is the people don’t want it as much. When the supply is low people most likely want It. Demand is just basically controlled by the people.
Supply and demand let's us know what needs to be more produced and what needs to be less produced. For example, the demand for a TV will be high, but the demand for paper might be low. So the company will produce more TVs and less paper because the Supply and demand tells them that the people want TVs. When supply is high the people don’t want it as much but the supply is low people most likely want It. Demand is just basically controlled by the people.
