Imagine you threw and caught a ball while you were on a train moving at a constant velocity past a station. To you, the ball appears to simply travel vertically up and then down under the influence of gravity. However, to an observer stood on the station platform the ball would appear to travel in a parabola, with a constant horizontal component of velocity equal to the velocity of the train. This is illustrated in Figure 1 below.
(Path of the ball as seen by an observer on the train and an observer at the station.)
The different observations occur because the two observers are in different frames of reference. A frame of reference is a set of coordinates that can be used to determine positions and velocities of objects in that frame; different frames of reference move relative to one another.
The laws of physics are the same in all inertial frames (this is known as Galilean invariance). Put in another way, there is no experiment that you could do to determine which reference frame you are in (Einstein used this hypothesis to devise the theory of Special Relativity). This means that we can address problems in any reference frame to give an equivalent solution.

The unicorn suddenly ran through the school at 5.6 m/s and it has a mass of 450 kg. What is the unicorn’s kinetic energy?
Answer:
KE = 567000 J
planation:
The kinetic energy of the unicorn can be find out from its mass and velocity. The kinetic energy of unicorn is 7056 J.
What is kinetic energy ?Kinetic energy is a form of energy on an object generated by virtue of its motion. It is related to the mass and velocity of the object by the expression written below:
Ke = 1/2 m v²
When an object starts moving from rest, its potential energy converts to kinetic energy. As the mass and velocity increases, kinetic energy increases.
Given that, m = 450 kg
v = 5.6 m/s
then , Ke = 1/2 450 kg × (5.6 m/s )² = 7056 J.
Therefore, the kinetic energy of the unicorn is 7056 J.

3. Answer choice: (national selection, genetic variation, inherited, environmental factors) and (genetic variation, extinct, diversity, inherited)
Answer:
Explanation:
The DIVERSITY explains how experimental factors both work to help populations respond the the environment over time
Whether a species has stopped existing recently or in ancient history it is still considered extinct
genetic variation is a result of inherited factors from parent to offspring

Explanation:
The energy in fossil fuels (coal, oil, gas) is Chemical Potential Energy. Fossil fuels come from decayed living matter that has stored energy in its chemical bonds (bonds of atoms and molecules). Coal, petroleum, natural gas, and propane are examples of fossil fuels that store chemical energy.
