Compare the life of a Roman of the lower class to the life of a Grecian from the lower class. IN YOUR OWN WORDS

Answers

Answer:

do you have pictures of the article by any chance?

Explanation:

Well I don’t wanna say sth wrong so I did I some research and that’s what I found + I wrote one in my own words based on the first one:

The Romans called the lower class people "plebians". This class consisted of working class common people who enjoyed proper citizen rights, to the slaves who were denied even the basic human rights. The Grecians on the the other hand considered the "freed people", the people who once were slaves but bought their freedom as lower class.
The lower class Grecian people were able to enjoy the basic human rights, but were never granted citizenship or any citizen rights no matter their economic status.
The lower class of Romans were further divided into 5 sub-categories, Commoners, Latins, Foreigners, Freed People and Slaves. The commoners were given proper citizen rights and were considered as free citizens of Rome. The others were given limited rights but were considered as Roman citizens except for the slaves.

My own words:

In Rome, the lower class was called the plebiscite. the even lower class was further divided into 5 subcategories: ordinary, Latin American, foreigner, freed, and slave. Ordinary people had civil rights. Slaves were not considered Roman citizens. In Greece, the lower class are slaves who have bought their freedom. They had basic human rights, but no citizenship.

Read the excerpt from Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll.

“It was a glorious victory, wasn’t it?” said the White Knight, as he came up panting.

“I don’t know,” Alice said doubtfully. “I don’t want to be anybody’s prisoner. I want to be a Queen.”

“So you will, when you’ve crossed the next brook,” said the White Knight. “I’ll see you safe to the end of the wood—and then I must go back, you know. That’s the end of my move.”

“Thank you very much,” said Alice. “May I help you off with your helmet?” It was evidently more than he could manage by himself; however, she managed to shake him out of it at last.

“Now one can breathe more easily,” said the Knight, putting back his shaggy hair with both hands, and turning his gentle face and large mild eyes to Alice. She thought she had never seen such a strange-looking soldier in all her life.

What do the details in the excerpt show about the relationship between Alice and the White Knight?

Alice wants the White Knight to always protect her.
The White Knight wants to protect Alice.
The White Knight does not want Alice to become a Queen.
Alice is afraid of the White Knight.
Mark this and return

Answers

Answer: The white knight wants to protect Alice.

Explanation:

This is my answer because if you go back into the passage the white knight says " So you will, when you’ve crossed the next brook I’ll see you safe to the end of the wood and then I must go back, you know. That’s the end of my move." He is taking her to the end where he knows she is gonna be safe and then he is going to turn around and head back home once he knows she is safe.

Answer:

The White Knight wants to protect Alice.

Explanation:

We can conclude this answer from the statement

“I’ll see you safe to the end of the wood—and then I must go back, you know. That’s the end of my move.”

White Knight will protect Alice as long as possible, but knows his limitations.

Robert is disgruntled with the current political party in Presidential office. He decides to publicly voice his opinions in the middle of the city square with a speech outlining the faults of the party, the mistakes of the President, and the overall decline of the administration. What right is being violated?

Answers

Answer:

The right being violated in this scenario is the freedom of expression or freedom of speech.

Explanation:

Robert's act of publicly voicing his opinions in the city square is an exercise of his right to freedom of speech, which is considered a fundamental human right in democratic societies. This right is enshrined in the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, which protects individuals from government censorship and allows them to express their opinions, ideas, and beliefs without fear of persecution or punishment.

Robert's speech is a form of political expression and criticism, which is protected by the First Amendment. He has the right to voice his opinions about the current political party and the President, as well as the administration's policies and actions.

However, while the First Amendment protects free speech, it is not an absolute right, and there are limitations to it. For instance, if Robert's speech poses an immediate and substantial danger or incites violence, it may not be protected by the First Amendment. Moreover, there are laws that protect individuals from defamation or slander, which are forms of speech that harm a person's reputation and can result in legal consequences.

In addition, the time, place, and manner of Robert's speech may also be subject to reasonable restrictions. For example, the city may require him to obtain a permit for the public demonstration, set limits on the size of the gathering, or designate a specific area for the protest. These regulations are intended to ensure public safety and prevent disruptions to the normal functioning of the city.

In conclusion, Robert's act of publicly criticizing the current political party and President is an exercise of his right to freedom of speech, which is protected by the First Amendment. However, this right is subject to limitations and regulations that balance the interests of free expression and public safety.
